Heriz Carpet with Unusual Border
This pretty Heriz carpet is a lovely little room size which one rarely comes across. The geometric medallion design is very well drawn with restrained ornamentation and harmonious colours. Note the subtle dark pink background of the field. However, the most eye-catching feature of this carpet is the highly unusual main border. The sapphire blue ground is decorated with stylised floral ornaments and arabesques drawn in a joyful and highly attractive manner.
