Beni Ouirain Carpet
Mid-Century Beni Ouirain carpets continue to be popular with both interior designers and homeowners. The minimalist designs and soft colouring work so well with contemporary furnishings. This lovely carpet is another example. It has soft undyed handspun wool with a loosely knotted floppy pile which feels lovely underfoot. The ubiquitous lattice design is masterful, the lines being drawn in both a brown and black undyed wool. Furthermore, there is sufficient variation in the sizes and shapes of the individual diamonds for the design to feel freely drawn and archaic. This is a lovely little vintage carpet, ideal for modern living. In good condition, and professionally cleaned, it is ready for immediate use.
