Cute North-West Persian Rug
If you are looking for a pretty rug to light up a small space, this North-West Persian rug might be ideal. Dating to the end of the 19th century and woven with handspun wool and natural dyes, it has a very cheerful palette with only a limited range of colours. The minimal design is also so charming. The central ivory diamond medallion with scattered sparks of colour, appears to be floating above the gently abrashed terracotta field. Note too the archaic anchors at each end which give the whole composition an intriguing charisma. This is all framed by the ivory meandering vine and leaf border. It is all very simply yet electric, and ideal for adding a splash of character to your decoration. Cleaned recently, it is ready for immediate use.
