Tadjik Storage Bag
Multiple techniques have been used to create this extraordinary storage bag. Patches of printed cotton have been appliqued alongside some embroidered areas on a cotton background. The result is quite dazzling. Note the long purple wool strap at the top and the mirrors,including the tiny beaded mirror at the tip of the covering flap, amulets to ward off the evil eye. Most likely made by Tadjik tribal woven. Excellent original condition. This is a rare and very collectible Central Asian artifact.
