Dating to the end of the 19th century, this attractive and dynamic rug comes from a rare group of tribal rugs woven in the Eastern Anatolian or Iraqi regions of Kurdistan. It has a very distinctive structure, all wool foundation, dark brown wefts, and a loose weave. The dyes are very nice and design is archaic and dramatic. In good condition. Minor restoration of the selvages.
