Probably of English origin, this remarkable cotton patchwork quilt cover is one one the most detailed and finely worked examples I have seen. It is composed of myriad cotton hexagonal patches around a large central hexagonal medallion that forms a kaleidoscope of colour and movement. It must have taken literally years to make. The original printed floral border and lining is intact. Clean and in excellent condition, a really good example of the craft.
