Indian Khalamkhari 'Tree of Life' Panel

Hand blockprinted on cotton around the end of the 19th century, this pretty piece has the ubiquitous tree of life with a pair of facing birds at the base of the field. Lovely delicate colours. The condition is generally good with a few small holes and a couple of stains. Very attractive piece.
