Decorative Oushak Carpet
Antique Oushak carpets from Western Anatolia have never been more popular with interior designers and those decorating their homes. The open designs and colour combinations resonate well. And the chunky fleecy pile gives the carpets a homely feel. This superb aquamarine Oushak is no exception. The field design is elegant and restrained with stylised palmettes, leaves and blossoms linked by tendrils. The terracotta borders are equally charming and harmonious. One can imagine this carpet decorating both traditional and contemporary homes. Professionally cleaned, it has an even pile with just the right amount of wear to give it the lives in look. It has had some minor restoration and is now in generally excellent condition.
