Flemish Wool and Silk Verdure Tapestry

This delightful Flemish tapestry depicts an Arcadian landscape. To the rear, there is a forest with a vista revealing a chateau while to foreground a cheerful hunting dog appears to have captured a bird. The colours are autumnal and subdued with ivory silk in places that give the composition some vivacity. A pretty border of acanthus leaves and flowers completes the composition. Restored to very good usable condition and lined. Professionally cleaned
