Interesting Antique Kurdish Kilim

Here is a wonderful eastern tribal artifact. probably woven by the Kurds in west Persia, circa 1900, this kilim was made to be used as a domestic \\\'sofreh\\\' as a floorspread around which the family would gather for meals. Beautifully made with fine handspun wool and natural dyes, with a strong archaic design. Cherished through the generations, it has survived in remarkable condition. I present this to you either as a graphic piece of woven textile art, or as a highly decorative floorcovering which would enhance any setting.
