Subtle Mahal Rug
A very pretty Persian rug with just the rug amount wear, and a very pleasing range of colours. Note in particular the pale green in the medallion and spandrels. Also, a very attractive terracotta field with a restrained design. The medallion seems to float above this field. Nice soft wool. Professionally cleaned. Woven in west Persia in the early 20th century around the town of Mahal in the Sultanabad district.
